Johannes S. Finkel, born in 1947 is the fourth generation of bowmakers of the Finkel-Weidhaas bowmakers dynasty. He was trained by his father, Siegfried Finkel.
Before opening his own workshop in Brienz Switzerland, Johannes worked for some of the worlds most prestigious violin shops, including William Moening, Hans Weisshaar and J&A Beare.
With a heritage of over 130 years, a Finkel bow represents the very best in workmanship. It is no wonder that they are used by professionals and discerning players the world over.
We have stocked these fine bows for many years and have always been amazed by the quality, beauty and fine balance of the sticks. In addition to the handmade master bows, we always carry the hybird carbon fibre/pernambuco and Neuveville range.
As of January, it has been confirmed that Johannes Finkel has now retired. These bows have now been sold.
