Instrument Repairs
All repairs are carried out in the workshop by Paul Ayres and Dave Slight; both skilled and experienced craftsmen. Our workshop offers anything from minor repairs & adjustments to full and complex restorations. Wherever possible, we try to fit repairs around players’ schedules and can assure you of a prompt, high quality service.

An important aspect of the workshop is the making of new instruments, which are individually hand- crafted using rare old tonewoods.
We have many regular clients from local orchestras including the Hallé, BBC Philharmonic, Manchester Camerata and the RNCM etc, as well as teachers and students.  Our workshop services are used by many players throughout the North West and much further a field.

Bow Repairs
Only the best quality natural white Mongolian horsehair is used for bow rehairs. Rehairs are usually done in 2 to 3 days. Same day rehairs can be arranged only if booked in advance. All bow restoration services are available.
