Looking for an instrument? We always have a comprehensive selection of antique and modern instruments, suitable for beginner through to professional level.

Examples of the English, German, French and Italian schools are always represented in our stock of fine instruments. For those on a more modest budget we have a range of handmade Chinese instruments, which offer exceptional value for money.

As you would expect from us, all the instruments are carefully set up to ensure optimum tone and playing qualities. We are happy to assist with the selection of an instrument, which customers can try in the privacy of our music room.

Although we have many 18th, 19th and 20th century examples on display, Paul and Dave both make their own new instruments, which are individually hand crafted using rare old tone woods.





Of course, an instrument isn’t complete without a bow. We have a fantastic choice of bows, ranging from moderately priced beginner ones to superior bows for the professional.
In addition to older French, English and German bows, we stock the work of several award winning contemporary makers, such as Robert Pierce, J.S. Finkel and Pierre Yves Fuchs. Carbon fibre bows by Coda and Arcus are popular with students and professionals alike. Although slightly lighter in weight than traditional bows, they play beautifully and provide a strong focused sound.

We also have a large range of excellent hand made Brazilian models to choose from. These have proved to be very popular with teachers, and many have begun to recommend them to their pupils.
