All your instruments and bows are cared for by Paul Ayres and Dave Slight, both of whom are skilled and experienced Luthiers.
All work is carried out in their purpose built workshop, and wherever possible we try to fit repairs around your schedule. You can be sure of a prompt, high quality service, with everything carried out to very exacting standards.

The workshop offers anything from minor adjustments to full and complex restorations. We have many regular clients from professional orchestras including the Halle, BBC Philharmonic, Manchester Camerata and the Royal Northern College Of Music.

Our workshop services are used by many players, teachers and students throughout the North West and much further afield.

Paul and Dave are always happy to discuss your requirements, whether it is tonal adjustments, bow rehairs, or a complete re-build of your instrument. We are very experienced in dealing with insurance claims, and can liaise with your insurance company if you have suffered any accidental damage.

Rehairs are usually done in 2 to 3 days. Only the best quality natural white Mongolian horsehair is used. Same day rehairs can be arranged only if booked in advance.

As you would expect, all other bow restoration services are available.
